Nationals.
Doug West and county wrestlers Corey Bowers of Cheasapeake and Tyler Moyer of
Broadneck
went to Cleveland Ohio April 1 - 5th to compete in the Senior High School Nationals.
Doug West( Old Mills All time wins leader) Represented AA County well, with
his 5th place finish.
Doug Dominated his way to the semi-finals where he lost to eventual champion
Justin Leen of Tennesee by a score of 2-0. We are proud to have Doug named to
the national High School Coaches Association as an All-American. This Honor
is giving to the top 8 in each wieght class.

- Old Mill Takes 9th place at Hammond Invitaional (Day2)
The Patriot wrestlers managed to take 9th place in the Hammond
invitational wrestling tournament. Making them the higest
placed A.A. County team.
William Bell Lead all patriot wrestlers with a 2nd place finish
to National Prep Champion Bode Ogunwole(27-0) from Goegetown
Prep in over-time 2-1.
Doug West wrestled back strong on day 2 to get 3rd place,
beating Mt. St. Joe's Tim Bohlman in the consi-finals 6-3.
Alex Ford also had had strong performance placing 4th at the
215 lb wieght class. Senior Josh Baynham took 5th at 130 lbs.

1.17.03 - Old Mill in 10th place at Hammond Tournament (Day1)
The 8th annual Hammond Invitational tournament has proven
to be one of Maryland's top Tournaments. The 2 day event features
20 teams from 4 states and some of the toughest wrestling
in the area. Not to mention 19 of the 20 teams are state ranked.
The Patriots Josh Baynham(130) and William Bell(275) have
advanced into the semi-finals.
While Doug West(125), Aaron Waddell(171) ,Alex Ford(215),
Sam Nasser(145), Alex Green(189),Tim Lobuglio(112),Justin
Garrison(119),Jude Ayanleye(135), Chris Volker(140), Derek
Miller(152),and Mike Maltigliati(160) are all still wrestling
back in the consulation rounds on Saturday.
Day 2- Starts at 10:00am with consolation prelims followed
by Championship Semi-Finals @ 10:30am and consultion finals
will continue until 8pm when the championship finals start.
The gym is small so get there early!!!

Holiday Tournament
Old Mill placed 4 wrestlers on thier way to a 5th place finish
at the Arundel Holiday Classic. William Bell lead the Patriot
wrestlers with a 1st place finish at 275 lbs. Strong finishes
were recorded for Josh Baynham 130 lbs and Doug West 125 lbs,
who both placed 3rd. Alex Ford placed 4th at 215 lbs

Classic Tournament at Fairfax High School
Old Mill was just one of the 32 teams at the NOVA Classic.
The NOVA Classic is considered by many as one of the premiere
area tournaments.Old Mill was lead by Senior Josh Baynham
who wrestled his way to a 1st place finish. Doug West finished
2nd and William Bell finished 3rd. Overall team standands,
the patriots recorded a 5th place finish
